February 24, 2005.      Dorothy Basmaji will provide a presentation with Amy Cococcia of New York, NY, and Ami Wynn of Chicago, IL, on I-9s and Other Document Retention Strategies.  The presentation will occur during the the AILA Chicago Chapter's2005 Annual Midwest Regional Conference at the Chicago Hilton & Towers.

 

February 28, 2005.       James Roach and Robert Pearson of the Allen Insurance Group, Atlanta, GA, will provide a presentation entitled "Protecting Your Assets:  Myths & Realities" during the National Association of Home Inspector's 2005 Educational Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

 

March 15, 2005.  Greg Murray will provide a presentation with Sue Ellen Eisenberg of Eisenberg & Bogas, P.C. entitled  “The 10 Worst Mistakes and Employer & Employee Can Make” at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.  This presentation by attorneys representing both defendants and plaintiffs is sponsored by the Oakland County Bar Association Employment Law Committee. April 7, 2005. Debra Auerbach Clephane will address the Michigan Spring CUPA—HR Conference in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. The topic of her immigration presentation will be “I-9 Electronic Processing.” The Michigan College and University Professional Association for Human Resources is sponsoring this two day conference (April 7 & 8) on the campus of Central Michigan University. April 14, 2005. Dave Calzone will present a “Family and Medical Leave Act Update” at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy for The Institute of Continuing Legal Education’s 30th Anniversary Labor and Employment Law Institute.  Register online at www.icle.org/labor.

June 14, 2005.   Robert Vercruysse will address The Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants on “Responding to the Whistleblower Complaint” at their annual Litigation & Business Valuation Conference.  He will provide a comprehensive review of the Michigan Whistleblower Statute, as well as a review of Sarbanes Oxley for covered entities, and present a discussion of the internal whistleblower procedure required by Sarbanes Oxley. October 21, 2005.  Robert Vercruysse gave a presentation at the American Employment Law Council's 13th Annual Meeting, at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara, California.  He spoke on Recent NLRB Cases and Collective Bargaining Issues. 

April 6, 2006.  Dave Calzone will give a Family and Medical Leave Act Update and Bob Vercruysse will participate in a panel discussion on Win/Win Strategies at the Bargaining Table Using a Facilitator at the 31st Annual Labor and Employment Law Institute co-sponsored by the Labor and Employment Law Section, State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service.  The presentations are part of a two-day seminar to be held April 6 & 7, 2006, at The Inn at St. John’s.
